Carlee Abschneider is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Texas A&M University-Commerce while serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Carlee holds a BM in Vocal Performance from Houston Baptist University, where she was a finalist in HBU’s Inaugural Concerto/Aria Contest in 2018 and also received the “Most Improved Vocalist” Award 2017-2018. During her time at HBU Carlee participated in many Opera Workshop performances, including appearing as Arline in Micheal Balfe’s The Bohemian Girl. She recently was selected to participate in the Resonance Opera Young Artist Program in Brenham, TX, where she participated in a scenes production performing the roles of Fiordiligi from Così fan tutte and Hannah from Die lustige Witve. As a soloist, Carlee has most notably been featured performing John Rutter’s Requiem and selections from Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi’s Gloria.  Carlee has also been a finalist and winner at Greater Houston NATS several times. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her love of music with students. Carlee offers voice lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, and piano lessons to students at the beginner through beginner-intermediate levels.
