Piano

Rhonda Dunn moved to the DFW area from Pennsylvania, where she taught piano for over 25 years. During those years, Rhonda studied piano pedagogy with a special interest in injury preventative technique. Previously, she studied classical piano with Jacques Voois while majoring in Music Education at West Chester University before continuing her piano studies under Nelson Whitaker at Carnegie Mellon University.

Beginning at age 12 and continuing throughout her college years, Rhonda accompanied choirs, vocalists, instrumentalists, violin classes and musicals. Professionally, she worked for the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg as their Chorale Accompanist. She completed elementary education certification coursework at St. Vincent College, and later developed an interest in early childhood music after the birth of her daughter. Adding Musikgarten to her studio, she focused on child development and on the philosophy of 'teaching the whole child.'

Rhonda seeks to create an environment where students feel safe, accepted and appreciated. She expects the best from her students while striving to give them what they need to succeed. Currently, Rhonda home schools her daughter and teaches elementary math and science classes at a homeschool co-op. She teaches private piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
