Pianist, trumpeter, and writer/arranger Tim Moore has made quite the impression on audiences and fellow musicians in various cities and states around the country. Originally from Missouri, Tim has resided in Denton, TX since 2013. While in Texas, Tim has studied at the highly acclaimed University of North Texas Jazz Studies program as well actively participating in the DFW music scene.

Tim has been teaching for most of his musical career. Despite his impressive performance schedule, his students have always been his first priority. Tim teaches piano lessons in varying musical styles, and has worked at music camps including the UNT Jazz Combo Camp and various high school summer programs. When working with a student, Tim’s top priorities are to help the student achieve their goals and to have fun!

Tim is described by his peers as a “thoughtful, dedicated and hardworking musician” and "does it all with a professional, laid back manner that should put you at ease knowing he’ll get the job done.” Tim is well versed in modern, traditional, and contemporary jazz, pop, gospel, and funk, to name a few.

While in North Texas, Tim has performed and/or collaborated with many local artists including North Texas Two O’clock Lab Band, Northern National, Michael Lee & the Wartime Limousine, The Freeloaders, Vince Lujan Project, Hunter Sullivan Big Band, and Buddy’s Big Band. Outside of North Texas, Tim has worked with artists Maniacal Four, Aaron Hedenstrom, Keith Karns Big Band, Tyler Montgomery, and many others. Tim also is the band leader of Moore’s Code, where he and his musicians play Tim’s original music and some covers in the contemporary/smooth jazz idiom.
