Lauren Lewis

Lauren Lewis developed a love of music at an early age, learning a variety of musical instruments, some through private lessons and some through self-teaching. Though she enjoys playing many instruments, her favorite way of making music has always been singing. Lauren attended Collin College and then Texas A&M University Commerce, where she graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance. During her college career, Lauren performed the roles of Arsamene in Handel’s Serse, Madama Rosa in Donizetti’s Il Campanello di Notte, and Sam in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, as well as many chorus roles in other productions. She also performed with the TAMUC Chorale and in the Mu Phi Epsilon – Beta Mu Choir. In addition to performing, Lauren also developed a love of helping others perform by working as the Stage Manager for TAMUC’s production of Silver Linings, a musical scenes program, and by beginning her career as a private lesson teacher.

While she specializes in Classical/Opera and Musical Theater styles, Lauren is a firm believer that all singing styles stem from the same basic techniques, and that anyone can sing - they just need to find their own, distinct voice. She takes a very individualized approach to each student, working with them to expand their passion and knowledge of music while achieving their vocal goals.
