Ron Lawrence performs in cities across the United States and Canada. His schedule keeps him busy providing music for associations and corporations, performing concerts, and appearing at conventions, award and recognition programs, and elegant social events.

In 2015 Ron assumed the position of Grand Musician of the Grand Lodge of Texas, at the invitation of Dr. Michael L. Wiggins, leader of Texas Freemasons. Lawrence's duties include accompanying G.M. Wiggins at official Masonic functions to perform ceremonial music for Historical Observances at The Alamo in San Antonio, The Presidio in Goliad, The San Jacinto Battleground near Houston, and a variety of special events such as Cornerstone Ceremonies across Texas. Ron is deeply honored to have the opportunity to perform for such celebrated events.

Ron began playing the trumpet at age 9. As a dedicated and serious student of the trumpet, he listened to and admired the many recordings of Louis Armstrong, Harry James, Clifford Brown, Bunny Berrigan, Don Jacoby, Doc Severenson, James F. Burke, and Al Hirt. It is from these trumpet greats that Ron's own personal musical style has evolved.

Ron received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), attending on a music scholarship. His career has literally taken him across the United States. Ron auditioned for, and was accepted into the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. (Bolling A.F.B.). While in Washington, his duties included performances at : The White House, Constitution Hall, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington National Cemetery and various embassies. In Los Angeles, Lawrence performed on national television programs, including "Name That Tune." After moving to Dallas, Texas, Ron was a member of the Fairmont Hotel's Venetian Room Orchestra. In addition, he was the Orchestra Leader and Music Director for the Registry Hotel's Malachite Showroom.

Ron and his orchestras have backed mega-stars like;Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Ben Vereen, Lou Rawls, Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, and many others. Ron and his Band and Orchestra gained visibility around the world, appearing on the hit television show "DALLAS", starring Larry Hagman. For several seasons, Ron was seen on-camera performing with and conducting musicians for special events such as "The Oil Barron's Ball."

Lawrence has extensive experience with studio work. He has performed on numerous television and radio jingles, and has both performed with and conducted bands and orchestras for regional television shows. He has several recordings of his own, including:"Bellezza","Dallas Sounds" and "Sazerac Jazz."

Ron Lawrence's trumpet instructors include; Mr. Ray Crisara (Austin, Texas) and Don Jacoby (Dallas, Texas), both known internationally as master performers and instructors of the highest caliber. His teachers during his student years were; Dr. Everett Nelson (Oxford, Ohio), Frank Brown (Cincinnati, Ohio), Basil Drew (Dayton, Ohio), and Harry Haggerty (West Carrollton, Ohio). Each of these gentlemen had a great impact in developing Ron's musicianship, trumpet sound and melodic style.

Ron's musical talent generates much demand for his appearances. He has provided music for some of America's most well known corporations and associations, such as; Fruit of the Earth Corporation, Premier Designs, American College of Cardiologists, Whirlpool, Kitchen-Aid, State Farm Insurance, Gillette, Solomon Brothers, Exxon/Mobil, Dr. Pepper, and many others. Ron's band and orchestra have performed for some of the Southwest's most prestigious society events and private parties, including: The Idelwilde Ball, The Dallas Opera Ball, The Terpsichorean Ball, The Dallas Symphony Ball, The Crystal Charity Ball, and The Eisenhower Award Dinner honoring Ross Perot .

Since 1976, Ron and his wife, Patricia, along with their two adult children, Kurtis Lawrence and Sarah Lawrence Quintanilla, have resided in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
